Free System Check

Most checks are now conducted remotely and take about a day to complete (usually over two half days), but in some circumstances, we will conduct the Health Check on-site at your office. Our consultant will start by talking to you to get a general overview of your business and your existing solution. They will then meet with each of your key users to understand how the system is being used, by following your business processes step-by-step from start to finish.

 

We specifically look for workarounds that your team may have adopted and may not be very efficient or resilient. We take time to understand how the system is performing and identify if you have, for example, any particularly slow running batch processes. Last but by no means least, our consultant will seek to identify any training needs.

Business Central Upgrade

Dynamics 365 Business Central is an established Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) solution developed by Microsoft. The solution is updated twice yearly with new features, functionality and security. To benefit from these additions, Business Central upgrades are necessary. This can be automatic or delivered by a Business Central Support Partner, depending on where your system is hosted.

An upgrade to Business Central means Microsoft deliver changes to the solution, whether they are new pieces of functionality or the removal of old pieces of functionality. Ensuring your solution is the latest version means you're continuing to benefit from Microsoft's newest technology and remaining compliant of required security fixes.

Do I have to upgrade to Dynamics 365 Business Central?

Upgrading your Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) system is a decision that requires time, research and planning. Let’s answer the question: ‘Do I have to upgrade at all?’ The simple answer is no, neither Microsoft or Dynamics Square will issue an ultimatum in regard to upgrading your Navision or Dynamics NAV software. Dynamics True will support your software, no matter the age or condition - we are firm advocates that there are always ways to improve an older system, whether you are experiencing performance problems or want to incorporate modern technology. You really can teach an old system new tricks.

Being out of support with Microsoft means that no additional patches and fixes will be applied, but Dynamics True will continue to support your version forever. We have some customers currently using Navision 1.2 (circa 1996) who are perfectly happy with their system, and we’re perfectly happy to support them. However, it's worth bearing in mind that we would be surprised if the new world of Dynamics 365 Business Central did not bring a wealth of technological benefits to your business. Maybe your solution isn't the problem, but your support partner is. Having the right support for your business solution is the best way to get the most out of it.
